I've seen several guys now with LMT fixed rear sights
and red dots or low powered scopes or ACOGs.

For anyone who has used the LMT rear sight, how do you like it  together with the red dot/scope?

Replacing the faux can with a short barrel and a Surefire Ryder-22A makes a HUGE difference! Can't wait to take it out.

That's georgous! Always wanted to do that but figured it'd be a lot of work. If you don't mind, what all did that entail?

This thing is .22 quiet with privi 158 grain.

AUG 9mm
Trijicon TA-44
Steiner OTAL-C IR laser - works wonderfully. It is offset enough to easily clear the charging handle and sling.
Surefire Scout light with a vampire head.
Blueforce Gear sling (vickers?)
Silencerco Octane 45 HD

Dude, sweet AUG!  The GSG MP5 is a nice setup as well.

Finally shot my CZ today.

With Geco subsonic match rounds and a Sparrow it's spooky quiet.  Honestly it's so quiet I thought something was wrong.  I also got my HTA Fusion T22 barrel built up on another receiver and it was much louder.  It did sound better than I remember though, plus it kept Federal bulk subsonic today.  It still is a distant third to the Mist-TD and the Pinnacle.

I just picked up the sandman S yesterday and received that upper today so I can't give you a comparison. The Kac qdc I think has a little deeper tone than my socom RC. From what I understand the sandman S will have deeper tone than the sandman L. Also 30 Cal can vs 5.56 I'm assuming the 5.56 will meter a little lower. Sorry as that was not exactly what you asked, but the best info I can give.

Thanks man, it's not easy or cheap being this OCD.

You have a hell of a nice collection. Probably 2-3x times the amount of silencers I do, too.

great carbine and photography.
Do you still have good access to the charging handle?
Link Posted: 3/26/2017 3:20:02 PM EDT

Yes I do, reason for the thorntail sbr scout mount and its position.  It was hard to plan everything with the short rail but I may switch to an extended charging handle after using it for an extended period in a defensive carbine class.  So far I have no issue charging it

So, ive been though a lot of combos in the last 3 years with a bunch of different calibers... this 16 inch with SLR adjustable gas block tuned for just enough gas to lob 62/77 grain slugs with the AAC Mini-4 paired with the new trijicon 1-8 makes for an awesome DMR... 600 meter shots are mad easy and the versatility having a 1x option is fantastic... replaced a 2.5-10 Vortex and wont be looking back.

plus it doesn't feel ridiculous using the compact can...
