The best AR-15 magazines are mil-spec USGI magazines, although Thermolds and Orlites are OK too if that's all you've got.
The best place on the Internet to buy good AR-15 magazines is ...... right here!  Check out the Equipment Exchange Magazines For Sale section, those are as good of deals as you're going to find.

Read the mag faq - magfaq.tripod.com/
In the following order try and go with USGI mags, US Thermolds or Orlites. Est. prices: USGI 20's & 30's - $12-25 Thermolds - $15-20 Orlites - $8-14 Avoid aftermarket junk like - USA, Triple K, Victor, Western or any other no name steel mags; they'll have poor fit, function & reliabilty. |

Also get some green followers, they are more reliable than the standard black ones you will find in the GI mags you buy. Unless you pick up some 20 rounders with aluminum followers, don't mess with those! Also, don't buy mags from R-guns please.
