When I bought mine it was test fired. I cleaned it up and it has shot perfectly since then.

Every Company does. It just makes sense to test it before selling.

Bushmaster test fires their guns and sells the brass to the public.

Bushmaster fires 10 rounds through every complete rifle or complete upper that they sell. The uppers are NOT cleaned afterwards. The guns are fired into a water tank, as a FUNCTION check only.
Trivia: They have two uppers that they use for all uppers. One of the lowers has well over 200,000 rounds through it, with LOTS of upper changes. Some of the pin holes are technically out of spec from wear, but continue to operate correctly. -Troy |

If you buy a rifle and there is a place behind the reciever on the case deflector that is brass looking instead of blued then the rifle has been test fired.

Bushmaster barrels are marked B MP which indicates they've been proof fired.
