As long as action length is the same, yes. The PSS stock for the short action calibers will fit the LTR. I haven't looked close, but they are similar if not the same. IIRC

The forend of the stock may be longer than that lil' bitty 20 inch barrel!

It would be cheaper to buy the PSS and have the barrel chopped and crowned to 20".

Nekkid...That's a good point.  But is 20 inches the right length for the barrel?

I wonder how far the PSS barrel could be shortened and still work/feel/look right?  Experience with my LTR says 20 inches works good.

And the PSS' handswell stock feels better to my shooting hand.  But six inches of PSS heavy barrel is a considerable amount of weight to remove.

Wonder what that does to the balance of the rifle?  Even if a PSS is usually shot from a bipod, mechanical dynamics like muzzle flip might become objectionable.

If anyone's shortened the barrel length of a PSS I'd appreciate hearing their experience.  I ask because I've considered modifying a PSS but don't want to make an ugly mistake.  The only problem I have with the LTR is pulling it down out of recoil for follow-up shots and I'm interested to see if a cut-down PSS would work better.
