Say one wants to shoot ones own turkey for Thanksgiving.Which is the most appropriate caliber,5.566mm or 12 Ga.? If using a handgun would 9mm or 45ACP be more likely to produce a one shot stop? But more important, do you defrost and take the plastic wrap off before shooting, or just take it out of the freezer, toss it out in the backyard and blast away?

In my opinion, frozen(or even partially thawed)turkeys make a pretty good flash hider for the larger calibers. Watch your serial numbers though, as on post bans you must remove the drumsticks and innards. Also, the permanent attachment rule is a bad thing as turkeys are a bitch to run a good bead on.

Well, I like to get a ball bat and bludgeon the motherf##$%er to death.  The physical activity really relieves the stress.
