Would anyone like to speculate on the value of a good used M17S Preban without the Bushmaster upgrades done to it yet? I saw one at a local gun store for $675. Is that good or bad price? I also saw a post ban new on Gunbroker for $659.

That is a pretty good price for a preban, though there is not much advantage to the preban other than the flash hider. You definitely want the upgrade though, well worth the extra hundred bucks.

Go for it, they are fun guns to own.

I got a smoking deal on my postban... $575 NIB. If we can ever get rid of that stupid ban a flashhider will definitely be on my must have list.

Great guns, surprising accurate, reliable, ergonomically superior to an AR. Downside is stiff trigger and hot forearm under sustained firing. Be warned that the 10 round post ban mag that comes with it is crap. Have some pre-bans handy for testing.

Also go to Kurts Kustom Firearms forum in the industry forums. He can do a lot of neat stuff to a M-17S
