CFE 223 works very well in my progressives' powder measure.
I've been trying to find a list of other powders that work well too.
But I haven't found such a list.

Anyone know if there is such a thing?
Failing that what powders have you tried that work well in a progressive powder measure?

BLC2 and H335 (Hogden powders) and TAC (Ramshot powder) have all been very consistent in my RCBS Uniflow powder measure.

I randomly weigh check 1 of every 10 charges I drop from the Uniflow.

With BLC 2 I'll see (in 30 or 40 weight checks) 3 to 5 that won't be dead nuts on the 27.1 grain setting.  Of those 1 or 2 will be 0.2 grains off, the others 0.1 grains off.

With H335 I've never had one of the random weight checks be anything other than the setpoint on the scale bar.

I'm only used a little TAC, not enough to get a feel for it, but it was pretty consistent.

You should find most, if not all, ball type powders to be consistent.

Ideally I'd like to find one powder that would work well for 5.55, 6.5 creedmoor and 308 and also work well with a powder measure.

First, you have to define what you mean by "well".  what exactly are your accuracy requirements?  My guess s that your barrel will fail to achieve your requirements before either blc2 or cfe223.

Guns are "funny" things.  What shoots, or is reliable, in one may not be in another.

We tried several powders a few years back for hunting ammo for my son's M1A.  We used IMR4895, H335 (he likes that powder for his .223 loads in his AR15), W748, Varget, and a few others.  IMR4895 gave us the best groups (it does not meter well in a powder measure, so more effort is required).

Your .308 may do fine with the same powder used for .223 Rem.

Good luck with your efforts.

hmm well the 6.5 creedmoor is the wrench in the works. unless you plan on running 123gr bullets? I have had great results with 8208xbr in .223 and .308.
I've heard people use that in the creed with 123gr class but typically in short barrels. your going to neuter performance on the creed trying to find a one size fits all.

Spherical powders work best.  They meter most consistent.

Win 748 has always metered well for me.

H-335 is great of course. I've been playing with Benchmark the last few months loading prairie dog ammunition, it meter pretty well out of my Uniflo.

I agree with list above including H-335, TAC, Benchmark and other spherical powders.

For super precision match ammo, add LT-32 to the list.  Very fine and very accurate with match bullets and case prep.

For blasting, I just use H-335, though.

TAC, at least until prices went full retard, was my go to for bulk reloading.

I've never had any problems with Varget in my PM's however IMR 3031 meters poorly.  It ran ok in a Lee PPM, otherwise I only run it through my Pact digital powder measure.
