I'm looking to buy another firearm. I've got $1200 to spend. on the list are:

DDI AK with magpul zhukov stock set
PTR91
C39v2
Henry big boy carbine .357
Kriss Vector .45-- $75 past budget but still dooable.

Anything other options? I already have a VEPR12 and an AR. I don't have a .22- and with $1200 I could get the Henry big boy and a Marlin 60 Stainless laminate....

Too many choices!

I'll play. I vote for the Henry big boy in 357

From your list, I would go with the DDI AK.

You might look at a DSA FAL if you'd like a 7.62 battle rifle. They're around 1,000 bucks at AIM, and I think they're more comfortable to use than a PTR91/ G3.

PTR or FAL. I love my PTR, but the FAL is a far better rifle.

I am also going to vote for the BB but unless you already have a 357, get the Long Colt!!

I personally would spend the $1,200 on the PTR91, or a DP-12 for something that isn't on your list and might be $100 more.

A Beretta ARX would use the same ammo and mags as your existing AR and give you a light, handy rifle that stores and transports in a tiny bag.

Garand.

No self respecting enthusiast should be without one.

ETA: They've skyrocketed in price over the last 5 years, buy one before they become $2000.

Ammo is always a good option.

I was planning on picking up a few cases of ammo from Aim this week but can't decide now with all the MD sales.

I ended up buying the PTR! I've got a fair amount of ammo for most of my firearms. I was dead set on the AK but then I started looking at what I already have sks, AR, Sub2000-- and I didn't have a need for another short to mid range rifle. I plan on getting a Vortex 1-6 scope on this and start banging steel at 300-500yds. I'd also like to pick up a surplus wood stock set at some point.

Get yourself a port buffer if you want any chance of reloading the brass. if it's a fluted chamber then you can pretty much forget that all together.

Another AR.

Perhaps in 6.5 grendel or 50 beowulf.

Or do you have an ar pistol/sbr?

Different flavors to savor
