I understand businesses have to make a buck or more. But is there a simple all in one solution that is for all seasons and all reasons. Or is it just pie in the sky thinking?

JP adjustable. Works on select-fires as well. Lock the set screws down, and it's all good.

Sure, although I'd recommend stepping up to the SSA-E if you do a lot of long range shooting. Still perfectly fine for defensive use  as well.

Hard to beat it as a do-all trigger.

Velocity Triggers if you're on a budget, Wilson Combat TTU if you're not.  The Velocity is great for the money.  The TTU is great period.

My choice, too.  Some may say the 3.5 lb total pull through of the SSA-E might be too light for stressful situations, but I've been hunting for decades with 3 lb. single stage triggers in bolt guns and am used to that as a norm for me.  And the 1.2 lb. second stage really helps me when shooting prone or from bench.

G SSA or give the LaRue MBT a look.

My SDE is my favorite trigger for any application. Light and comfortable at the second wall for long distance shooting, while the long take up leaves me completely comfortable using it for defensive situations.

Since you mentioned pricing, our MBT trigger orders are clicking right along at our $125 "Yes-I-can-wait" price ... delivery - about 8 weeks.

This.  I just got 2 of them coming.

I really prefer a single stage trigger for general purpose use.

Of the ones I have tried I like the Timney drop in the best, I'd suggest the 4lb weight for general purpose use.

MBT is my go to for a general purpose AR trigger. The only G trigger that is worth the extra coin IMO is the Hi Speed Match.

I've got four or five MBT's now. Sold my SD-C and put an MBT in it's place. I would like another high speed though. The 4ms lock time is very nice.

Geissele SSA or the LaRue MBT would be my pick .... If you don't mind waiting the LaRue is a better value for sure

SSA-E are great all around triggers, and mine has been worth it's weight in gold. I have a MBT on order, and due to the low price may become my new standard trigger if it is similar in quality.

+1

Having compared a MBT to a SSA-E the MBT is slightly heaver yet breaks cleaner. the bottom line is the MBT has a sharper, snapper break and at $125 it's the best bang for the buck!

Waiting for my Larue MBT. Hard to pass up for the price. If it's what I'm expecting then I will be ordering more. Going on my 11.5" supressed HD build. Also might fit on my B&T 9mm.

Hard to beat MBT for a high-end quality trigger for the price.  When I need a decent trigger for low bucks the RRA 2-stage when it is on sale is hard to beat.

Honestly, after spending big bucks on the  Geissele triggers (and they are good triggers) my goto for a lower build is now a $15 THS from PSA and about 15 minutes of careful polishing. A decent trigger pull every time.

If your trigger is only surface hardened your trigger pull is going to go to crap in a few thousand rounds.

Almost any of the recommended Geissele triggers or the Larue MBT would be a good choice.

I have an MBT, SSA, and SSA-E.  All are very similar to my novice trigger pulling skills.

American Defense A2S, best all around trigger I have had yet. I like it slightly better than my geisselle SSA.

I think the Rise RA140 SST is a great single stage option but you can't find them for $100 anymore. Crisp 3.5# break & super sweet short reset.

These have an excellent feel, but I've had issues igniting .308 primers from my debadged BRO.  I've also had one that started dropping the hammer on release.  I had to file the disconnector so it would engage more.

They have an excellent single stage feel though.

I have MBT, SDE, SD3G, CMC 3.5 SS, several gunsmith tuned triggers, and my favorite is the Hyperfires 24C.  Crisp, very adjustable without set screws to back out, and very reliable ignition.

For $60 my BCM PNT trigger is pretty darn good. If you're in a budget it's a pretty good deal. I also have an ALG QMS in one of my rifles and that's decent too for around $40.
