In keeping with your existing calibers:  FAL, .308 Vepr or Saiga

I have been wondering about a FAL,  maybe some bulgarian model ur rifles (Potentially 104, 106, 107) with intent of making krinkovs later.   Think a galil ace in 308 or another bullpup....   friends are trying to get me into a ruger precision rifle, but that kind of shooting never has excited me that much.

Also wondering about other roller lock platforms, such as the zenith z43 pistol and ptr 91

If you get a good bolt gun, scope it properly for its use and spend some time behind it, that "not too into bolt guns" comment will change to "why did I wait so long?"

Take a look at a Tikka T3 as a general purpose rifle in .308, .243 or .260.  Or step up to Sako.  Or go with and AR style Ruger Precision Rifle and capture the excitement of true long range precision shooting.  It will excite you more than you realize.

I like the Remington 700 actions, but the current production quality control of Remington under Freedom Group ownership sucks.  With hunting season just about over, there will be plenty of nice, older 700 hunting rifles available at affordable prices.  The older the better, if the bore looks good. A good one in .308 or .300 Win Mag or 7mm Rem Mag restocked in a McMillan, Manners, or even a .308 in a Magpul tactical stock and a nice Timmney trigger will definitely change your perspective.

All of suggestions are available in .308, which you already shoot, if you don't want to stock another caliber ammo.

Another option, since you have a competition grade shotgun would be a nice over/under for skeet or upland hunting.  Browning Citori comes to mind.  Skeet and upland shooting is very addictive.

Try something new rather than variation on the same themes.
