get a pistol caliber carbine. like the scorpion evo. I couldnt afford one of those at this time so I got a hi-point 4595 in a trade and that thing is friggin awesome.

My brother has 2 hi points in 9mm and likes them. Am considering one in 40 S&W myself.

If I find another in 9mm I'm grabbing one. Yeah its a hi point yeah it's made from the same plastic as elementary school chairs but the thing works with everything I feed it. Really accurate easy to operate and shoot. Down side are the mags. I did buy two 14 round ProMags and they have been flawless.

I'm going to train my wife on it and pair it with a 1911 which she already loves to shoot. Personally I'd rather a sub 2k but they are like unicorns

Yup, I love mine. It is lighter than a Bushmaster ACR and it is entirely made out of aluminum while the ACR is polymer. Dead nuts reliable AK operating system in a refined and well crafted AR style chassis. The stock is SOLID as a folder. No wobble or movement. 1/7 twist barrel from the 1980s. Uses AR mags.

It simply rocks. Better than a AR-180, better than a AK, better than a XCR, better than a ACR.
