Glocks are my cheapest guns, and I like'em a lot.
Not my favorite pistols, HK takes that slot, but my Glocks are well loved. |

Another vote for the vz2008...one of my favorite rifles. Of course I have spent far more modding it then I paid for it but that's only because I like it so much.
Got a tokarev for about 200 bucks that is a real joy to shoot. Grand power p1mk7 I like better than my p226 and I paid about 1/3 of what the sig cost for it. |

I have a MPA M11 somewhere that turned out to be a ton of fun to shoot. Got it for $100 and it was threaded 1/2x28 so why not View Quote I picked up a used MPA M30T in 9mm for $100. It is very reliable, uses cheap STEN mags and is really fun to shoot. Nothing really practical about it but I enjoy it. I was "pleasantly surprised". |

I very much like the idea of a steel-framed USP, since it gets around my only real complaint about the USP in the first place; polymer frames and my hands don't agree. I think I paid $325 OTD for mine. If I could get a holster made for it (since the one that comes with it is literally worthless) it would replace my 1911 for summer carry, since the finish takes sweat a whole lot better than the park on my 1911 does. Plus 16+1 of 9mm is pretty nice compared to 9+1. View Quote What is it? |

Haven't fired the second one yet. |

My Chinese Mak-90 . I bought it new for a whopping $229 , it runs and runs and runs
My Howa 1500 High Standard 22 revolver . it shoots much better than I expected it to. |

I expected Jennings-style function and reliability, but if you can get past the brick-style weight and ergonomics, they're accurate, reliable, and not finicky, at a price even a child with an allowance can afford. At least that's been my experience with a limited number of them from a few years ago. View Quote The pistol will run 100% only with reduced round counts in the mags. Two mags would only work with 5 round or less while the other two would run when loaded with 7 or less rounds. And this was with Remington yellow box and Tula steel cased 115 grain FMJ. Ironically, it ran better with the Tula. |

It wasn't mine, but a guy at the range was using a Winchester "Wildcat" .22 rifle with a cheap POS 4x15mm bb gun scope on it to shoot cloverleaf groups at 25 yds. Group after group after group.
If he paid full retail he didn't have $200 tied up in it. |

Bersa thunder 380. That little thing is so fun to shoot. View Quote This. I traded a sealed can of M-855 straight across for a brand new bersa thunder back when the ATF was going to ban them. That little fucker shoots like a laser, refuses to jam, has almost no recoil, and is just comfortable as hell to shoot. My wife loved it and she's not a gun person. |

More honorable mentions
Marlin XL-7 in .270. In a world where there are thousands of new bolt actions coming out daily it's easy for a good one to get overlooked. I got mine at a pawn shop for$150 LNIB. Great rifle. Remington 714 single shot .22--- Scary accurate, super light weight and easy to maneuver in the woods. I bought it for my sons first squirrel rifle but I use it more than he does. $90 NIB. Ruger P series pistols. You just can't break them. |
|
K31, not as cheap as they used to be but damn accurate and fun to shoot
|

Savage 10/111 package deals at the big box stores. Sub moa, free float barrel, and detachable mags for a low price. The 30-06 I had was quite the shooter.

I have one of the swiss 308 conversions looks like a k31 (that's not the right model)
I bought for 50$ it is a cool rifle works like a champ , accurate and not everyone has one. Bought a pair of the original savage tactical bolt guns 329 each they both shoot moa. |

Ruger 10/22 and 22/45, S&W 442...though none are all too cheap anymore.

Remington 788 in 22-250, $120. Needed cleaning and a better scope, now it shoots sub-moa with handloads.

I bought an 8MM VZ 24 Mauser for $40 and it ended up being a great rifle. Good accuracy(even with the crappy sites)and a smooth action. It's one gun I wish I would've kept.

I was given a Henry AR-7 survival rifle (.22 cal.) and an H&R single-shot 20 ga. shotgun. The Henry is surprisingly accurate and the shotgun has won several turkeys at our VFD turkey shoots.

The Nagant revolver I paid $49 for, the Chinese T53 I paid $35 for, and the Romanian M69 .22LR rifle I bought for $70 at a gun show. Hell of a good shooting rifle and much sought after today.

Hi-Point 995TS, 9mm carbine
Remington 597 22lr with a 16.5" heavy barrel Both of these are just a blast to shoot and as accurate as I can be at close to medium range. |

I bought a RIA Model 206 .38 special at a gun show 6 months ago for shits and gigs, and it's a decent little piece. It was only $200 and I've had 0 problems with it.

RIA 1911 best $350 I spent twice. I bought one brand new in about 06, then sold it like an idiot, only gun I have regretted getting rid of, I always said if I see one used I will pick it up, about 2 years ago I found another one used at the LGS for $325 and bought it.
