My kit consist of odds and ends I've collected over the last 40 years.  I have supplies from over 6 different manufactures.  It's frustrating trying to clean any gun.  I do have the right parts somewhere but it takes time to get the right combination.  What I need is a new kit that will do all caliber and gages for both pistol and rifle that are contained in an organized box.  Also, are Bore Snakes effective and useful? I've never used them before.  What do you guys suggest?  I shoot .17, .22, 5.56, 7.62,  40 and 45 cal and 12 gage.

I use and recommend bore snakes, but keep a cleaning rod around.  As useful as they are, they cannot remove a stuck case or bore obstruction.

I've a few ways for cleaning, parts and tools storage. Here's the main bench which holds the bulk of my cleaning stuff in the hollow area and trough above.

The yellow tool box I grab and through in the back for the range. It holds a number of hand tools, small cans of cleaners, bore snakes and such. I replace what I use when I get back, if any. Kind of like a life boat from the main ship. I also use small wooden boxes to store spare parts and such for my firearms.

That bench is on castors and can be rolled up to my reloading bench and locked in place to make one long bench

Which also doubles for some of my factory ammunition:

Both of which have extensions that can be attached for greater versatility.

And that's how I organize my stuff.
