[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Where can I get unfinished upper receivers?

I'm looking for a few "blanks" as manufacturers would receive from various forges, preferably w/o the provision for a forward assist or deflector.

I've contacted a Alcoa and Cerro but haven't heard from them and I assumed I wouldn't since I only need 5-10.

Anyone know where I can get a few - at least 2 would be ideal

I think Nodak Spud is the only one with tooling to forge "604" retro uppers with no FA or shell deflector.
Scroll down about 3/4 on this page to see a finished one. You may want to contact them and see if you can snag what you want.

Aero precision sells non anodized receivers for $65 but they're not in stock currently

Tactical machining sells flat top uppers machined but with no finish ( i.e. no anodizing or dry film lubricate ) if this helps you. tacticalmachining.com
