It all depends on that particular buyer.
Restricted-marked Colts are not rare by any stretch of the imagination.
As you have seen, there is no general consensus on whether the restricted markings help or hurt the potential value.
As an example, I've had both restricted and non-restricted marked Colts. For me, the restricted markings are a reminder of the bad old days and I find them undesirable. Therefore, for me, the markings actually hurt the value. Some others seem to think that the markings make the Colt somehow special. The markings enhance the value to them, but I doubt that they fetch more than maybe a 10% premium.
So.... you have to decide if you like the markings or not (it sounds like you do). Don't get suckered into paying more than about $20 or $30 more.
