SS 10x would be a good scope for the rifle. There are a couple after-market stocks. Not a whole hell of a lot to do to it otherwise... the after-market for it is not super-strong yet.

What caliber?  I keep forgetting, that's the one that comes in 5.56 and can take AR mags, right?  Or you can get it in .308 too???

Just looked at their website, which model did you get?

I'm not sure what glass to recommend.  I'm always kind of like, anything will work within reason.  I'm always kind of blown away by how much they all cost and some of it seems overkill.  I think the main thing is what distances you want to shoot it at.  And if you want a reticle that allows for bullet drop, or if you want turrets.  I don't really quite understand why someone needs both, but some scopes come with both.  Or if you just want a traditional scope with neither feature. and then there is an illuminated reticle or not.  Which seems to add a lot of the cost.

I have two leupy scopes, one is a VXI 2-7 and the other a VXII 3x9.  They both are really nice scopes but just have a duplex reticle.

Anyways...  looking forward to hearing what you get and how it works out.  And how it shoots.

I run a bushnell Tac 6500  , 1 pc scope base. Use 55gr JSP from Hornady 22.5gr of 2230, or xterminator makes a nice accurate load, out to 300. papered it @ 200 on the range.
Doing steel with 55gr FMJ's again 2230 or xterminator out to 450 (on a good day) on a normal day i can hit lot's of dirt.
I'm going to fab an extended mag release next.

223 should be a great shooter for you, I have a couple bolt guns in that caliber, its joy everytime they come out of the safe.

IMHO, scopes/rifles are like women. They should be height-weight proportionate.

No.  Use good ammo.  But even at that....  some run of the mill might do it too.  Just a matter of how small you want your groups.  They have a 1/8 twist right?   If so you're not really limited by the heavier bullets.  I would think some 75/77's might be really good for that.

Having said all that, I've never shot one.  So...  But I would think any serviceable gun can do it.  3MOA at 500 yards is 15".  Then it's just a matter of how much wind there is and knowing your drops.

No... Depending upon what you want to do with it.  Do you want to bang steel, cut tiny groups, varmint hunt?

Shouldn't be an issue, I'd run some factory so you have a baseline what the rifle can do. Then roll your own to get where you want to go. Working out some issues with a 38spl load at the moment. Once that's resolved going to work up some 62 gr for it.
Enjoy your new rifle.

I have the patrol rifle in .223. I tested my rifle with multiple loads from 55gr up to 75gr. The rifle will stabilize any of the heavier .223 bullets, but I've found that it's more accurate with the lighter bullets.

I have a 5.56 Patrol with a Nikon P223 3-9x and finally got to take it out last week. I'm not a reloader, so I picked up a small variety of factory loads to try out. Mind you, I'm no crack shot, and I hadn't fired a rifle in, oh, about four years...  But I was getting nice sub-MOA groups with 53gr Hornady V-Max and 69gr Federal Gold Medal Match. I've read good reports of Hornady 55gr SP, but it wasn't working for me.

I have a mvp thunder ranch model and have been very pleased Mine loves the 52 grain amax with a stiff load of accurate 2230  head shots on ground hogs is no problem at 200 yds . On the other hand it wont shoot ss109 surplus worth a crap but will group 1.5 moa at 200 yds with the 62 grain barnes tsx and suprising enough the herters 62 grain hollow point shoot pretty decent for a plinking round I slapped a sightron 3x9 SIH-tac on mine and it makes a nice walking around gun .

Plenty.

.300 blackout, billet trigger guards, oversize bolt knobs, Boyds stocks, EGW scope rails, MDT LSS chassis, extended mag releases and plenty of finish options.
