I just wondering where I am in the mix for how many rounds per year I shoot. Below is about the approx. number I am shooting for a year. A few times a year I will take a coworker or family member shooting with me which would include the numbers below.

5.56-3000 rds
7.62x39-1000 rds
7.62x51-500 rds

22lr, 9mm, 357mag, 45acp, 12ga-1000rds combined

I shoot 2-3 times per week and the rifles vary a bit so they are annual averages:

Rimfire rounds:

.22 LR - 10,000 per year.

Centerfire rifle rounds:

.22 Hornet -  2,000 per year.

.223 - 3,500 per year

.30-30 - 1,500 per year

Other center fire rifle rounds (.45-70, .308, .375 Win, .243 Win, 7.62x54R, 5.45x39 and .30 carbine) about 3,500 per year.

Pistol rounds:

9mm  -  200 per week / 10,000 per year

.380 ACP  and .32 ACP - 100 per week / 5,000 per year

.45 Colt - about 1,000 per year.

0 since 2012, before that about 200 5.56, maybe 300 .22. The guns shoot where I want, when I want. No need to waste ammo when it is in short supply. Why waste the money if you hit where you want when you want to?

I really don't keep track... Maybe a couple thousand of 9mm, 1000 .45acp, a few hundred 7.62x51, 1000 5.45x39, and a few hundred .22lr.

If I get a new gun it gets a few hundred to see how well it shoots before I get the next toy.

I am continually adding ammo and reloading components. Seems like my piles grow despite shooting all I want.

with the powder shortage, I've limited myself to one pistol and one 3 gun match a month (rifle portion is .22lr and I use an AR conversion) so about 2500 a year for the 9mm... double that when WSF becomes available... couple of practical rifle and 5th Sunday 3 gun matches with the 5.56... probably 750 a year...

FWIW... when I first started shooting USPSA, and got a Dillon 450 progressive (pre 550) I was casting my own .45... melting wheel weights, casting, sizing-lubing, loading, and kept tract of the end flaps on the primer boxes (1000 primer cartons)... that first year with the Dillon, I shot 34,000 rounds of .45... probably 12,000 a year for the next 20 or so years... now, I switched to the 9mm about 2005,... I don't really practice, just shoot matches

I'm on course for 12-15k of 9mm, 1k+ of 556

Uspsa practice takes most of my time so the rifles and shotguns get neglected a little bit.

I shoot about 15,000 rounds of 9mm/40/45 combined for USPSA/IDPA.  Probably 3000 rounds of combined rimfire.  About 2500 rounds of centerfire rifle.  Only about 1000 shot shells.

Due to family crises and other factors I have not been to the range in almost a year. I still have managed a few thousand trigger pulls with dry fire practice.
