Wife's rem 700 is surface rusting slightly.  It's very humid in Florida and no matter how much oil we put on some of our guns, they seem to rust.

Duracoat is out of the question, Id rather just spraypaint.

Cerakote is next up, and also considering Guncoat.

I'm leaning towards Cerakote, but need to know the best place to send it to to get painted.  Not getting the entire rifle painted, just the stripped action/barrel.

Forum memver Dan_Gray does this. Send him an IM or visit his website.

I have never had him do anything but I have seen some positive reviews from others.

Actually, it almost sounds too low.

You talking about having someone else do it with the prep work and the baking, etc, right?

Not sure of your location, but there is a place in WPB, in the  Riviera Beach are off I-95. I have never had any work done by them, but they are local and seem to have good reviews.

They came home today and they look great.  These are crappy pictures but the one in the middle is factory FDE P227.

The one on the left is Magpul FDE on a P226R.

The one on the far right is an old P220 in Patriot Brown.

These pics aren't that great but they look as good as the factory one.  I am very pleased.

The finish is as good, or maybe even better, that the factory FDE.
