Good deal. Garcia and Stoeger ones sell in that price range, pre Garcia guns have sold 900-1300 condition depending.

What caliber. Those are very nice guns. I prefer the older ones to the newer type of action.

assuming it isn't beat to shit or in otherwise poor condition I am inclined to say that is a pretty darn good deal. Of course I could be wrong but the odds are in your favor that this is a good situation for you, especially if he wants to trade for a stock bushy, give him that and buy a new windham for less than 800 and have a better AR and a high quality bolt rifle for cheap.

If in good condition, $800 is a darned reasonable price.. My Sako L-579 (circa late 1960's to early 1970's) medium action (6mm Remington - barrel stamped 244 Remington) is simply not for sale at any price.
Be sure to get the scope rings with it. The bases are integral, unique to Sako, and rings are hard to come by and a bit pricey. |
