BCM Midlength. Shoots like a kitten. H1 Buffer and Sprinco Blue Spring........

Much softer recoil impulse than the Carbine length.

Sorry, had to get it out of my system. It is just so smooth.

Love my BCM Middy Recce-16 too. Compared to my carbine it's a powder puff as far as recoil is concerned.

I've lots of respect for BCM products, but to be honest, an H1 buffer and Sprinco "blue" spring tame down any mid-length: it certainly did on my Spike's.

I put a Vltor A5 on mine, it is smoother than my previous attempts---YMMV

I have a 14.7 midlength coming and was thinking about running a standard carbine spring and an stt2 buffer from spikes what do you all think of that combo?

My bcm middy shoots like a dream. I've been considering changing buffer weights to make it even sweeter.
Of course I have a geiselle ssa-e on it.

Compared to my 10.5" carbine gas SBR, with a milspec trigger...

The bcm is like shooting a cloud in comparison.

GFD?

I miss my BCM middy. Just a smidge softer than my 11.5"

I sold my RRA 16" HBAR carbine upper for a BCM 14.7" lightweight middy, the difference was night & day. Felt like I cut the weight of the rifle in half and the smoother recoil greatly improved my offhand shots. Although I run a standard buffer in it now I've tried a 5.4oz buffer that was leftover from my 9mm and it ran Federal XM193, Winchester and Wolf steel reliably. Only had occasional problems on Tula. The 9mm buffer wound up in my 7.62x39 upper but one of these days I'll drop an H2 or H3 in my middy.
