Check out the Bay. There are all sorts of AR500 steel targets for sale in all sorts of sizes.

I found some on amazon, $20 for 6"x1/2" with hanging holes, almost seems to good to be true, good reviews though. Last time I looked everything was $100+, hence the reason for this post, now I feel a little stupid.

Lots of vendors out there with AR500 targets under $50 each. Look for something 3/8" ar500 4-12" . Should ship flat rate that way.

I bought some from MOA targets
They are good targets and inexpensive for what you get, but you need to spend enough for the free shipping to take full advantage of that (it was $150 when I ordered). I rigged a few up on a wood frame hung by fire hose. |

sounds to me like you want an old disk break rotor? maybe weld 2 together to fill the center hole?

For the time and effort you put into welding two break rotors together and filling the middle, you can get an AR500 target of the same size for under $50, and have a target that will last longer and be safer.
