It will always be different for different people, what guns do you already have, etc. For me it would be the S&W because I already have the others......

I'd go SKS. Chinese are not imported any longer with a few exceptions. Will go up in value and is very reliable.
Plus I love Russian designed rifles

Depends on your interests: if you're into collectible firearms, get the S&W. If you're into fun guns, get the SKS or M44. As stated above,
there are a lot more SKS and M44 rifles out there than that S&W. That should weigh heavily upon your decision. Keep us posted, either way! |

You know, I like the SKS and the M44 and maybe it's because I own both that I'm going to say this, but I'd get the Highway Patrolman.
Maybe it's also because I've been kicking myself for years about the one I passed on. 
I doubt you can go wrong with any of them, but that's how I'd go at this moment. |

I also have a lot of fun with S&W .357's. Still have 2 of them. So yes, the patrolman. |
