Anyone here in the know on when the upper will be released?
Im jonesing for that upper. Was planning on a ARAK 12 but the serbu has a pricepoint advantage. Any info appreciated. Frog |

You may have already seen this: video Doesn't give an ETA but does mention it's fairly early in the development process. I would expect a wait. Interesting he offered a possible price (~$700) but not time-frame. Usually the opposite on new stuff.

interested as well. haven't been able to dig as much up on this thing as i would like.

If I run into Mark at the machine gun shoot next month I'll ask him.

Out of everything that's upcoming (Sig 556 XI, ARX-100, ETC) this has grabbed my attention the most. It appears to be a very well thought out piston upper, and I cannot wait until these hit the market. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any kind of release date.

View Quote I have a wish list that I continually save for and the SU-15 is my next purchase if It is released soon. The Sig Xi and the MDR-C are next. I love that my collection wishlist increased by 3 this year. |

The upper looks like my daewoo op rod / recoil setup. If there was a lefty version, i'd get one for the spouses SBR.

This is the product I'm looking forward to the most. I'm very excited.

In case Mark is watching, I want one as well. Really like the look.

I am excited for this. It seems to me that this is what the SCAR should have been.

As long as the bolt handle is non-reciprocating, I'm officially interested.

Looks awesome, but since the buffer tube isn't needed what folding stock or telescoping stock can you use?

There are adapters that allow you to use folding AR stocks ACE has adapters that let you use non-AR stocks as well. ACE can suck it. After a cutting a tang off my Saiga to use their faulty push-button folding mechanism, they were going to make me pay shipping to "investigate" what they already knew was garbage. I returned it to Midway for a full refund. Their "receptionist" wouldn't tell me if I would be given a different folder or the same piece of garbage. I lite this one, instead: http://www.lawtactical.com/product_p/2012201.htm |

Saving my pennies.... my lower has been waiting for this upper. I knew there was a reason I haven't bought my upper pieces.

I have a Serbu AR lower. Can't wait to slap one of these uppers on it.
|
|
Wow, pretty cool... I'd get one in 16" but only if I can find a decent side folder.
|
|
Osprey 21 any news to speak of when you went shooting with Mr. Serbu?

Seriously I'm highly disappointed in the lack of interests and news about this. I'm salivating wanting to put this on a pistol/SBR build.

The last thing I read it was dead. Tried googling for the forum I read that on for updates but couldn't find it again. It would have been awesome on a pistol lower with the SIG brace.

The carrier has a forward projection similar to, but not as long as, the SCAR. The end of the projection meets with the gas tube, where the impingement occurs. The function is very similar to the Ljungmann, by Mark's own admission. |

didn't someone come out with an upper like this already last year? I think it started with an F

I like this upper, but it reminds me of the Rock River Arms LAR-PDS upper.

Not dead. Have been in contact with Mark and it is coming. If you look on YouTube and his Facebook page you will see a few functioning videos. There are probably a few vids on his discussion forum also. |

If he keeps to the $700 price estimate, I'm game for one. Glad to hear it's alive.
