Went to the gun shop today, was told they had "German military sniper ammo" in stock. So knowing thats something that attracts certain customers, I opened up a box to see what was so special... just a 149gr FMJ thats silver in color.
Box is labelled AB 22 20 PATRONE 7,62 X 51, DM111, WEICHKERN LOS DAG93A0306

Anyone have any info on it? How hard is it to come by? whats the going price of a box of 20? I paid $13... Plan on trying the 20 rounds I bought through my M1A tommorow.

The box dont mean much what does the head stamp say?

Stamp has the nato cross at the 12 o clock and DAG93A0306 below that.

it is pretty much the most lethal surplus 7.62 you can buy. not necessarilly the most accurate or reliable, but the bullet fragments.

great for stockpiling as most was made in 93 and is fairly recent. check this thread

If you dont want it, PM the store name and phone number, and I will buy as much as they have.

Sorry, I will be purchasing the rest after yesterdays conclusions
I first started at 50 yards, and shot a 3 shot group, 2 in the same hole, and 1 touching., then I moved out to 100 and shot an inch and a half group with it( I consider decent for me since I have a 6x scope). Nothing I have shoots even close to this stuff... im very happy with it.

Is this the same stuff that AIM has for sale currently?
