I bought a fde magpul stock off of a guy for cheap. He spray painted it tan what's the best way to remove the paint.

buy a gallon of low odor mineral spirits, pour the whole thing in a small trash can or bucket, submerge the stock and use various brushes while scrubbing your nuts off.  Have fun!

ETA:  Keep the used spirits.  Pour it back in the jug, it is still usable as a stripper/solvent.

Or you could try that citrus based goo gone, stripped krylon off and left the gun smelling all orangey

Citristrip. Works pretty damn well, may take a few rounds to get stubborn stuff off.

They make citristrip in a spray can now. That will do it for sure.
