I've always loved the tiger stripe, you just convinced me to try it. Any tips?

Clean and
de-grease the gun before hand. Don't use a CLP or anything that will lubricate the surface. I used lighter fluid.
Don't be afraid to use lots of heat.
When I started, I'd peel off the vinyl, place it on the gun and then apply heat... I learned eventually it works MUCH better if you pre-heat the metal and the vinyl before even peeling it off... then place the decal and add more heat!
Also when you are pressing the vinyl into place, you fingers tend to stick to it a little bit. Use a thin rag or paper towel to help press, especially when you have to run your finger up and down a groove (like the lines in the magazine.
For the big vinyls, start pressing at the middle of the sticker and work towards the edges, otherwise you can end up with air-bubbles and have to un-peel and start again.
Good luck! It's a little tedious of a process, but not difficult. And the vinyls are pretty forgiving when it comes to re-applying a couple times if you mess up at first.
