Hey all, if anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it.

After receiving a 2015 WASR-10 with new blond wood, I immediately:

citristripped it,

bleached it,

stained it,

then applied about 6+ coats of watco danish oil

_____

However, I want to apply more stain(same color, looking for more saturation from the stain), and I'm wondering what you think I'd need to do.

The danish oil is not a glossy finish, and is nothing like a polyurethane. Feels very "natural".

Light sanding and apply more stain? Then re-apply more danish oil?

Full sanding and citristrip all over again? Restart the staining process from scratch?

What would you do? Thanks for any replies!

I have used one of Formby's refinisher/stripper products which supposedly removes the top coat but pretty much leaves the stain intact.  Your danish oil or tung oil generally comes off fairly easily.
