I'm going to be coating a TRS-25 and have a few questions. I plan on using C-Series Cerakote.
1.  Do you lightly blast the optic? Or don't blast?
2. If Yes to question 1, Is it best to tape the areas you don't want to blast before spraying?
3. Do you remove the battery and adjustment caps and spray separately?
4 Any other tips?

1.  Do you lightly blast the optic? Or don't blast? Lightly blast at 40 psi or less with 120 grit alox.
2. If Yes to question 1, Is it best to tape the areas you don't want to blast before spraying?  Absolutely!  Tape or cover all areas that you don't want etched by the media.  Ensure that your lenses are completely covered and sealed before taking it to the cabinet.
3. Do you remove the battery and adjustment caps and spray separately?  Nope. Removing them and blasting will introduce media into places that you don't want it.  Leave 'em on and make sure they're tight.
4 Any other tips?  You may be able to get away without blasting but I wouldn't recommend it.  Blasting before painting will give you the most durable finish.
