I have a 642 that I use as a small utility pistol from time to time.

The problem is, the finish corrosion resistance is almost zero. Touch, breath or look at the poor thing without immediately wiping it down and it forms spidering corrosion. It's been back to Smith and Wesson twice for refinishing, which they did free of charge.

Anyway, I'm looking for some color ideas for the 642. Something different. Crimson Red? White?

Nope. I've done a couple with Sig pink.  Easier to find if dropped.

Hmm, how about Safety Orange or School Bus Yellow, then?

I'm not secure enough to pull off pink.

Yellow is doable, most pros won't do a gun in safety orange out of liability concerns, re: toy guns with safety orange muzzles.
