cross posted with GD.  I had a gunsmith thread a barrel on my AR15 as it was bought when I lived in a ban state. When I got the barrel back it was bare metal on the threads and am kinda concerned about the bare metal corroding. Should I just thread the flash suppressor on and go. Should I oil the threads put the flash suppressor, or do I paint the threads with some high temperature spray paint and then put it on.

Thanks for any help

Light oil is fine ....don't paint them.
