Since my wife stole the Viper for her build it "forced" me to upgrade my mini-recce and the SE went on my beater, so I painted it to match today.

I don't feel like going back through this thread and snagging the pics where the rifles virtually disappear in multiple environments. You're right, the shapes and shadows that naturally exist on an AR help it even if you don't have a camo pattern. But to try to argue that a camo pattern doesn't help even more seems a bit foolish to me. And to do it by putting your brown rifle against brown objects, well, you made me smile, that's for sure. |

Could no longer suffer my purple Colt SOCOM uppers; at the price point of a SOCOM you'd think the days of purple were behind you, but apparently not.
A few hours of prep work, some DuraCoat #4 Matte Black, and their royal purpleness is no more. I'll let them cure for several weeks before putting things back together. Still a bit of Matte Black left in the can, I think I'll hit my 4 liner lock carry blades tomorrow and use it up...  Attached File Attached File |
