Thanks for the kind words man, much appreciated.

It's been tan for a while, felt like it's been missing something so I added the rust color today.  Still may add some black/grey spots but I don't know.

Had an unseasonably warm day here, so I decided to paint my first rifle. Had a lot of apprehension but damn was it easy. I think it turned out ok for my first try.

I didn't paint the ATPIAL-C that lives on it, or any magazines, and immediately regret it. They will get painted next warm day.

Camo looks great! I'd back your red dot up one notch though (off the handguard). Just friendly advice, nothing more.

Thanks . That paints been on a couple years with some little additions here and there. I'm still playing with the vortex, picked it up yesterday to replace a 3-9x40. ETA I've got an m4 stock that actually matches the rest of the rifle, as it was painted with it. I later acquired the MOE and attempted to match it up lol

aervoe /rust-oleum camo paints. lighting isn't the greatest in moms basement so it looks a little darker than what it does in natural light.

Finally got around to painting my beater AR. It started as a lightweight build and tinkering project with spare/extra parts I had.

            Aero lower
            BCM BFH lightweight upper
            Aimpoint T1

I used Aervoe paint from Brownells.
Cleaned and degreased with good 'ol elbow grease, brake cleaner and acetone.

            It's a kryptek hybrid.

Amazon. It was from CSG Gunworks. I got the largest size they offered and used almost every bit of it.

I'm a fool as I normally don't like the Kryptec. But, if people keep showing me more like that one, I could be converted.

            khaki base
that brown primer in spots...diagonal ish but not uniform direction.
dark brown camo paint through mesh bag next to and on the brown primer.
overspray to tone down the khaki slowly. approx 1-2ft away.

let dry an hr. then done

Do all camo scheme I've decided upon.

Brown blends into TN no matter the season or rural vs urban.
