krylon camo colors. The paint wears off with use, but I kind of like the look.

This one was done with alumahyde magpul FDE from brownells. Black furniture. Used primer first. Doesn't wear as easily. Also it's a Carbon 15, so it seems to have adhered to the polymer pretty well. This gun also doesn't get a lot of rough use.

Wormydog1987, that looks great.
I'm curious which Aerovoe colors you used?
I have most of their paints and am planning a multicam job, but am unsure which colors I should settle on.

Thanks everyone.

I used Aervoe:
Sand (khaki)
Earth Brown
Olive Drab (green)
Field Drab
O.D. Semi-gloss
Dark Green

Aluma Hyde II black for the barrel and scope

All ordered from Brownells

I cut my own stencils from a sheet of 12"x24" vinyl given to me by a local craft store.

After it was all painted the green was a bit too bright for me so I dusted the whole thing lightly with the sand. I wish I hadn't now. It kinda made all the colors too neutral.

That's funny--that's exactly what I had in mind when I built the rifle (not the paint, though)!  I really wanted some brown in it, but it just didn't look right, and I covered it up.  I may try a different shade.

Thanks Mohawk, It is the UTG super slim 15 inch drop in rail. Takes about two minutes to install, found it for the most reasonable price on cheaper than dirt. Runs just shy of 100 bucks.

There aren't a lot of things UTG makes that I can actually recommend, but this is one of them (if you can't get your hands on the ALG rail you like, of course ).  There's ways to cheapen up and screw up a rail, but UTG seems to have a pretty dang happy customer base on this one.

Tossed some Krylon and Allumihyde onto my newest 14.5 build this week.  I like how it turned out.  I've always done complicated patterns like Multicam with stencils, etc but this was nice to just use 3 cans and be done lol.

Don't mind the iPotato pics. I had this lower sprayed for a while but wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the upper since it is a pinned CMMG. Well Primary Arms had a great deal on the Troy MRF so I snagged one up and got to spraying last night after installing it.
