Since I live pretty much in the desert of So Cal I went with a suble earth tone...
The barrel is stainless so I bead blasted it and coated it with Norrels grey to knock down the shine and used rustoleum camo to finish it off. I did not mask off the scope markings but went ahead and used Goof-Off to clean the paint from those areas so I could see them. I dipped the stock, well I took it apart and dipped each part, it came out ok and I just had a few places to touch up, I used the airbrush to do that. The vertical grip is dipped and airbrushed the same with the pistol grip. I dipped 1 mag and then painted 5 others, The dipped parts just are too shinny for my liking. The paint is flat. |
