Kinda.

I screwed up the paint job, and went from dark to light, instead of the other way around.

Might work okay for fall or thick brush.

I'm not a painter by trade.

Always go light to dark.

Being just north of you, the environment is more or less the same. With that said I've found that dropping green completely and using just various browns is more effective 80% of the year.

You know I was thinking that too. The light color, and a dark brown over it.

There isn't much in the way of undergrowth here, just dead vegetation due to the canopy of evergreens and oaks.

Good thing about spray paint is that I can just do it over.

No need to strip it off right?

don't have to strip it off really, depends on how thick your current job is.

for example, this is the second job on this one

Question for the sprayers.  I'm planning on doing my entire varmint rifle and wanted some advice.  Should I just cover my scope glass and let the paint fly?  Any issues painting stainless barrel?  Did a couple test runs with some p mags.  Planning on using Rusto Camo khaki and earth brown as base color with net stencil.

Spent an hour on this tonight. I'm happy with how it came out.

MOE K2+ grip is a little rubberized, but I tried a spot on it anyway. Didn't work well. It'll wear off after a few uses.

His stencils are the best by far, but I also noticed his eBay page is down now. I tried another guys and they were garbagegarbage. They were bronze color stencils. If you hear anything from him if really appreciate a PM. Im getting ready to do my 308 in nomad.

Were the others by chance made by a company named after a captain in a book about a big whale?

Yeah I kept it simple and used mostly dark brown and green for the stencils. real ferns looked about the same anyways when I used em...but more of a pita to use lol.

Thats about as close as you can get for fall. Not sure how it will look during the spring and summer. But I like it.

Did this earlier this week. Rustoleum camo colors. Cross posted in the sponge camo sticky as well.

Don't have any pics with it out in the grass or against a tree like all the cool kids... Yet... But maybe one day when I'm not working until dark I'll get one posted up. Turned out pretty good, think I might throw a matte clear on it to prevent too much wear

I painted it during the winter months not thinking about the rest of the year but it blends in pretty well all year long.
