I've used Testors on my XD and on my lower, but it flakes off with CLP....what did I do wrong? Should I bake it on, or use something different?

Never bake Testors paint. Use Crayons if your cheap, or buy colored epoxy sticks at Brownells.

If you have any Duracoat laying around, or Ceracoat, spray it over the engravings, and wipe away with a clean, lint-free towel.

What model paint were you using; acrylic or enamel?

Maybe, since Acrylic is water based and Enamel is solvent based.

Testors is a brand that makes paint for people who like to build plastic model kits.

Ahh I see, I figured it had something to do with model building. Thanks

I have two colors...the green is enamel and is my problem child. The gray is acrylic and I've only used it on my 870 with so-so results.

I was at AutoZone last night and saw some DupliColor Scratch Remover pens that I thought about trying..
