THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Searched all over and could not come up with anything. Has anyone painted SS with readily available over the counter type paint? Any tricks to getting it to stay on? Iv'e read it is had to paint and have it stay put and be durable. TIA

You need to blast with aluminum oxide and spray/bake using Cerakote, KG, Durakote, etc....

Stainless can be painted with grill or high temp. paint if the surface is scuffed up with sandpaper. The muzzle brake will end up getting repainted alot because of all the knicks, it is part of the rifle that is constantly getting hit or leaned against stuff.. I would not paint the muzzle brake unless the rifle is a show piece only.

+1 thats all you have to do. We coat a lot of stainless parts I'd recommend a thermal coating such as CeraKote "H" series or KG GunKote 2400 series.
