I duracoated my ruger 10/22 and I have a run at the top of the barrel and a run or two on the trigger housing, this is my first time at duracoating obviously. Is there any way to wet sand it or any other tricks to get rid of those runs after its dried. I'm sure there probablly just stuck there and I'll have to live with it. Thanks in advance for any help.

You could wet sand and re apply a thin coat to cover the sanding marks. If it were mine I'd blast it down and recoat it

wow! it almost impossible to make duracoat run. did you use reducer? i would wait 2 days and then sand out the bumps with some 600 and give it 2 or 3 light coats. duracoat is very easy to touch up.why stress the metal again with more blasting .

Probably either had the gun too close or the pressure to high. I would blast it back down personally, but wet sanding and respraying could be done.

Also remember, that depending on how thick/large the runs are, they may reduce a little over time as the duracoat cures.

If it's very thin and small, you may not see it in a few weeks.

If it's large, you're better off redoing the whole thing, as sanding will result in at the very least putting another coat on there to cover what you'll be doing on there.

I had one small run on the rail that I used duracoat on last week. A quick sanding and a recoat worked fine.
