Has anyone ordered the free color samples form Cerakote? I called two weeks ago and spoke to someone. He told me they would send up to 5 color samples. I am still waiting. I was hoping to see a few actual colors before I pick one for the Colt 1911. Trying to decide between Sniper Grey and Tungsten. I have seen an actual gun in Sniper Grey, but wondering if the Tungsten would look better?

I ordered 5 samples in early November and I received 4 of them mid January. It might of taken a little bit of time, but worth it for the free samples.

I ordered 5 about a month ago and received 3 a couple of weeks later. I called and talked with a sales rep who said that the color samples were almost always out of stock and that they never have more than a few of the different colors in stock.

Has anyone seen these two colors on a gun? ( Sniper Grey and Tungsten). I wanted the samples to make my decision for my Colt Mk IV series 70. I have seen pictures on line but the same color looks different on different sites. I'm not sure what the colors really look like?

Sniper Gray is a really dark, matte gray....Tungsten is a lighter color with more of a metal look. I have both on hand and spray a lot of each color.

Do you have anything painted in each color? Would it be possible for you to put the two colors side by side and take a pic?

What is your personal opinion of either Sniper Grey or Tungsten on a 1911. It has Black ( VZ) Alien grips also.

I just posted a few pics of sniper gray projects I recently finished. I have the tungsten Cerakote swatch at home and can take a pic with both side by side this afternoon when I get home. You may want to pm me to remind me.
