Had some free time so decided to rework this old gem.

Thanks!  8" .300BLK with 12" rail.  I shot it for the first time last weekend, and it's crazy quiet.  I was even more
amazed when I let someone else shoot it and didn't have the action cycling beside my ear.  The bullet striking a
giant wooden wire spool about 120 yards away was about as loud as the shot

The Earth Brown isn't a perfect match for Magpul, but it's close enough for government work.  It matches the
Lucid HD7's rubber coating really well though.  And after some initial difficulties with the nozzle (as always),
the AHII went on really easily and had great coverage with 2 coats.

Another pic:

Here are two relatively recent refinish jobs.

The first is nothing special, just a Cerakote Magpul FDE base coat and rattle canned stripes:

The next is a G19 Gen 2 police trade in. It's Cerakoted Magpul FDE on the slide and Patriot Brown on the frame:

I'm planning on replacing my shotgun furniture. I'm thinking of using Primary Arms' digital camo stencil and going with an ACU or NWU pattern.

[Last Edit: OberSchutze_US] [#12]
Started out by stripping all of my lower apart and taking the rail off of the upper.
Then I began with a flat tan undercoat for all of the parts

I wanted to add a second coat in stripes of FDE but some nice individual at the store decided to swap caps on me so I have 2 cans of tan... I had my can of ODish Green and decided to darken it up with that trying to create more of a splatter than a deliberate pattern.

And this is the final product.

Your pics came up in a google search I did several weeks ago. I am also curious to know which stencils you used since this is the most accurate Kryptek job I've seen to date.

No, the Kryptek templates are very time and labor intensive to make.

I've not been a big fan of the nets creating harsh lines and hard lines. I use the net now to just break up and freckle the lower a little. The rustoleum "FDE" color is way too light, and the brown is a little too dark. Together they come out pretty well.

Looks killer. I'm really digging some of the "worn" finishes being done lately.

Also, what's going on with the "divot" on top of the slide just behind the extractor?

I put together a belt and carrier, trying to keep cost down I used bargain deals. This meant a lot of the gear I had was either black, ACU, or khaki colored. So out came the krylon

Only things that are original colors are the Taco and TT mag pouches. For everything else I made stencils and went to painting. I was going for a multicam "look", it's close enough for what I use it for .
