Anybody seen the new SureFire Vampire Scout Lights yet?

http://www.surefire.com/m622-vampire-scout-light.html
http://www.surefire.com/m603-vampire-scout-light.html
http://www.surefire.com/m612-vampire-scout-light.html

Any feedback other than just repackaging the existing models with new mounts and switch combos?

What the hell is Surefire even thinking?

They need to fire their RD staff and get some creative people in, stat.

$499 on Amazon and Midway... But yeah.

There's a lot of competition in the market now. They need to rethink their pricing structure unless these things do something special that we don't know about yet.

Haha, a "new" dual switch tailcap (that has been available for the M series for almost 20 years) and a "new" ADM mount that's been around at least 5 years?

I'm a diehard SF fan, but this is idiotic.

I'm a huge Surefire fan.  Seems lile scout light list prices have always been high.  I usually wait for a deal or keep an eye on the EE.

Its good to know my trusty scout still is isn't outdated

They keep saying "6 volt"....those new "6 volt" heads should work on my original 300 body right?  The only thing I hate about my vampire head is its one of the original fatter heads.

The 6 volt head will screw onto the 300 body just fine, but without two CR123's driving it, it will not work.  If you're running a 3.7v lithium ion rechargeable, it MAY provide enough voltage for the 6 volt head to work normally.

Awesome good the know!  I only runs 123s.  Might have to just upgrade the head.  Also I meant to say scout 600 (takes 2 CR123s).

Have they figured out how to make the x400v without it breaking down yet?

How about spitting out some more lumens while they are at it.

I have a M622V coming in soon. IMHO with the TIR lens the run time, throw and spill is good balance for the 350 lumen output. Although I could care less about the ADM mount and would much rather have either a new style adjustable ARMS or even the old M93 mount.

I've had this happen to x300 switches 3 times; not sure if the same happens with x400's.

I had issues with one of my M93 mounts popping open under recoil.

Its real, been waiting for this. Mine showed today.

Im seeing the hate behind it...but you gotta pay to play (its always been that way) The new DS00 tail cap is a thing of beauty and a welcome addition over the antiquated M95XXXXX SF nailed the new version IMO.

Edit: This new KM2-B head, blows the older version away on output too. (KM2-A)

Very nice.

Yeah, I have one of the new KM1-C mini-scout vampire heads on an Arisaka body. It's a very nice unit.

I want one of the new heads...I have one of the older fat ones and I get a little reflection of my ir laser.  I have been holding out for now hoping the new dbal a4 might let me replace both units with one.

What mount are you using?

Same ole $20 Unity Fusion Mlok I use on everything, generally my favorite mount. I need a good offset for this setup tho.
