Hey Brother, the Q14 is still slated to arrive in the next few months. This new Pro 19mm I handled and also showed pics on Pg. 1 during my visit will be released in 2 weeks or so. More to come... View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

what about the Q14B? hopefully that will be included in the top secret classified release today, unless its already out. I stopped looking in this thread to keep from getting excited about the Q14B until it came out I'm not really interested in a TWS It's not exclusive to the q14b as it originally started. There appears to be no information regarding the Q14B. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. |

How would this compare to a weapon mounted Q14B? They seem to have the same specs for the most part. If the performance is almost the same I would definitely prefer the versatility of the Q14B. View Quote |

What is the caliber limit on this new scope that is now the discussion of this topic?
Thanks. |

The 320 Boson core image view is as good as most any 640 core out there. View Quote I'm thinking about a TWS for use out to about 200 yards. I'm really looking for the best combination of image, size, and price. Not as worried about high magnification, helmet mounting, recording, etc. |

Is this listed weight with the mount ? |

"How do you think the image would compare to something like The Pulsar Trail xp38 640 50hz? How about against something like the IR Patrol? Do you think there will be a 640 60hz version of the new FLIR scope?"
To anwser your question I'm sure the new Boson 320 is awesome and first field reports/reviews pretty much confirm that. it's a super nice 320 core with great contrast there are a few pictures and limited reviews already out including on YouTube. That said there is a lot more pixels on a 640 core so I wouldn't expect the 320 to be clear/sharper than some of the newer models 640 cores be it a Tau 2, BAE or ULIS core. I have a Pulsar XP38 it's super nice and very clear/sharp I can tell you that first hand. Personally, I'm going to wait for FLIR to release a small thermal Boson monocular or the same TWS above with 640 boson core. That sucker is going to be truley wicked :) |

Stupid question. How do you zero a thermal scope? I mean how does it see the circles or bullseye on the target?

They're also dedicated thermal targets as well that work off of angle of incidence and even electrical gradient overlay targets.

Doesn't have to be a hot target either. In the summer, I shoot cold or frozen bottles of water. I even shot icecream sandwiches one day cause that's all I could find. Worked very well! View Quote |

Couldn't care less about the TWS, but from what was said above, is the Q14B monocle not being released for several more months now?

2-4 weeks is what it said on checkout when i ordered mine.
While i think i would have been happier waiting for the 640, i currenty have no NV or thermal. I am only looking for entry level, so doubt ill be dissapointed. |

When will they release an identical unit with bigger lens and more magnification? Needs over 2x or it is too short ranged with a 320 core.

Like what, maybe 500 bucks for the next model up over the PTS233? I'm just guaging whether I should wait and go up one, or if the PTS233 will be just fine, which is the way I'm leaning right now. Honestly, I don't see taking wildly long range shots, especially here in Indiana, so the PTS233 should fit the bill, while still serving well for an occasional Texas hog hunt. Still, I am curious as to what advantages the next model up will have. Thanks for the info! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
