Made the round on the farm last night and conditions for viewing were incredible. Light northeast wind, temp low 60's, low humidity. I could detect critters at 2000 plus yards no problem and species ID at 600 to 700 yds Unfortunately(or fortunately for me) none of the critters were pigs, all deer, but it was really neat to see just how good the IR MKII 35mm can be with ideal conditions. Sounds like a PERFECT night for thermal viewing!  That 12um core really shines sorta speak!

I'll be just glad when the mosquitoes and chiggers are gone with the humidity and high temps.

Damn, with these low temps and low humidity, the thermal image look like an X-Ray!
Boar on the edge of the 2nd fairway stood out like a sore thumb, ground all white and big black boar in the Flir T-50: 
Big change from the heat and humidity of this past summer.
