There is a gap between the housing of my pvs14 and the objective lense locking ring. I noticed when I took off my TM-14 mount. It's about an eight of an inch. Could not close it or tighten it any more by hand. If I wanted to I could it counter clockwise and widen the gap.

Right now i can't really moved t either way. Is this a problem??

The lock ring needs to be out a bit, otherwise the objective can make contact with the tube when turned all the way in.

That's your infinity focus stop. It is either glued in place or has one or two set screws fusing it in place.

Don't force it, and it needs no adjustment if you can focus at infinity.
