IR Defense, Armasight, ATN, FLIR, Pulsar all make good to great weapon mounted thermals. Probably the best bang for the buck is the Pulsar.

As scopes go - not sure if it will be a major player, but the IR Patrol M300W should be in the wild soon. It lacks optical zoom (that could be nice in a scope), but looks like a nice, compact 640 package. I guess it is a monocular in scope's/clip on clothing.
- Main reason I am mentioning it, is that once it is in the wild - there should be user reviews. |

Don't be hard on each other.
It was my fault for not explaining better what the optic would be used for. Vic, called and when I explained it all to him he was able to point me in the right direction. Plus answering my questions as there was things I didn't underestand about thermal. When it comes to guns and all the things that goes with them, nobody knows it all. |

Nah, Vic isn't being a jerk to me ( at least I don't take it that way) and I'm not being a jerk to him (at least not intending to be.) We are merely sparring a bit, in fun, based on me putting my foot in my mouth a couple of times and some other stuff.
I should repeat that I do respect his experience and opinion, and all of the guys at TNVC, even when using some salt. And BeauxBeaux, when it comes to your type of use, I can't think of a better source of info or recommendation. JPK |
