Ok, the positive and negative leads are easily identifiable on a 14 tube to test outside of the shell. I also have. An MX10130D tube I want to test before buying a 7 kit but I have no clue which contact is +/-.

Here is a pic which I'm sure you all are familiar with..

Can you tell me which lead is positive and which is negative?

Thanks..jp

Thanks rbhoover. Do you know if you can half volt it to test like a 14 or do you need the full 3V? I'm pretty sure it's a  O-IV\V tube so it won't flicker at half voltage being it's not auto-gated but to be sure I'm not calling it a dead tube using 1.5v when I need the full 3v to light it up.

I don't believe you can run it on 1.5 volts but I'm not 100% sure... use a CR123 (not a rechargeable one!) and you should be good to go!
