I know it is capable of long range, and is heavy but given almost eveything I do is under 100 yards would it be overkill.
Keep in mind on the NV side I already have a PVS-14, a 740NV scope and an Aurora 2-10x56 D/N scope.

Life would just be so much easier with just one Clip On NV device.

Edit to add never mind the price.

IMHO, a complete waste under 100 yards -- but I'm a huge fan of overkill, so I say go for it!

Very nice, I like mine very much. I think the PVS-26 and the CNVD-LR are the two easiest clip ons to use and also the clearest. I also have a PVS-27 but it's kind of a pain in the ass to use.

Never used one, what is the min and max magnification that these are effective with?

PVS-27 goes to 20x so I am thinking the 26 might go as high.
The 22 is rated for 12x

There is so little info to be found about KAC NV on the net but I will have one late next week or early the week after

The goofy thing is that it seems it's been designated the PVS-26, PVS-29, and PVS-30 at various points through the last couple years.

Regardless, it was designed to slap on an M110 SASS so whatever the max mag of the contract scope is at least what it's designed to meet. KAC says it's a 600m-1000m optic.
