I am perfectly happy with eye safe lasers.
In fact, I wish I could make my lasers extinguish just past what I want to light up.

I can buy this but not a 50mw military IR laser. Sounds reasonable... Screwed up laws we have.

Isn't the photocathode response at 980nm significantly less than the 800nm range, I mean, wouldn't this be very bright but much less then an 830nm laser watt-for-watt?
