PM if need be. Midwest Industries MI-MP5TR top rail + 1x Magpul Aluminum M-LOK rail, 5 slot + 1x Magpul Aluminum M-LOK rail, 3 slot The MI rail needed some Dremel work to take down the sharp edges around the cocking handle latch point so I didn't bleed every time I handled it. The MAWL in right side configuration clears it easily. I really want to try a DBAL to see if it will clear that... probably going to be a tighter fit. Maybe a site sponsor can hook me up with a loaner. |

Messed around with a friend's DBAL on my MP5SD today. It technically clears the cocking handle, but awfully close for practical use. Might be improved by flipping the throw lever mount to the other side. Obscured almost 50% of the optic window, and that's with a 30mm Aimpoint on pretty tall mount.
Attached File Attached File I also think it could work on a 90 degree offset mount, as would a Surefire x400v (an x300 fit mounted this way previously). Attached File Attached File |

What folding front sights are able to fit in front of a MAWL without interfering with the propeller? The Troy I had on there isn’t working with the placement of the laser.
ETA: put a Unity micro hub / folding front sight on back order with TNVC…seems like the slickest way to do that with a MAWL and can move my Scout onto it as well. |

View Quote You might or might not be able to flip the OEM mount depending on the exact model of DBAL, but you could also look into some aftermarket mounts like LaRue or ADM. |

DBAL on an MI 90 degree Scout light mount clears the SD handguard.

After years of searching, I finally acquired an OG 9.5” AAC branded 300 BLK upper. Got it to the range this week. It shoots the same handloads that I use for its bigger brother (123 gr .310 Gold Dots sized down to .309 over 18.X grains of H110) very well. PERST4R and a Surefire M300V with a UnityTactical Hotbutton.
Attached File Attached File Attached File I’ll probably SBR this lower soon. |

Upgraded my white light from an Arisaka Scout clone with Malkoff head to a Modlite PHLv2.
I love how the Arisaka in-line scout mount has 3 positions for exactly this scenario. I think the head might contact the adjustment screw on the MAWL otherwise. Attached File |

Looks interesting, thoughts? It works pretty damn good. Lightweight and the cost is somewhat low for the performance. A little under $900 |

Unreal night shot too! What was that taken with - in shutter mode no doubt? You're actually the first I've seen post pics of running a Viridian! Always liked the concept but too unsure on its use, accuracy and adjustments. With that entire setup I have no doubt it's working fantastic for you! Swear I saw someone post that pic on a Reddit Sub and claimed it was them - unless you? I'll see if I can find it. Again, killer setup! |

Sony A7III with a Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary in F1.6 1/100 shutter speed ISO 1000 The adjustments are tricky on the Viridian HS1 as there are no clicks. Holding zero has been good so far. |

Which Modlite Lite is for which? I ask for a particular reason. @GunnyFitz So with that setup I have white light switch in front, Illuminator/laser rear switch I recently found someone who wanted that setup more than I did, and they traded me a FP A3 plus a little cash on my end (which if I’m not mistaken Gunny you might be familiar with if I remember correctly ) A3 illuminator doesn’t match the performance of the KIJI, but decided the weight and form factor were a worthy trade off. Plus I always wanted to try a FP A3 Updated: Attached File Attached File |
