I see it's an h1, but if it were a nv compatible dot, would you be able to use it passively with pvs 14 while keeping stock in shoulder? Lol I'm having a hard time getting this question answered. The offset mount is an Arisaka Defense with the taller base plate for 1.93 height to match the scope. I can actually look through the scope or the red dot with a PVS14 on my helmet. It is not super comfortable, but doable. The laser means I use those for backups or as a passive aiming option. If the offset mount was by the charging handle, it would be a harder to get behind it with the PVS14. Pics of front view of mount, aiming with the RDS and optic. I do have to cheat the stock up in my shoulder/neck a bit to get a view through the optics. It is difficult to view through any optic unless you are using IR illumination. Also, a PVS14 would need to be over your weapon side (some like to run it on the non-weapon side). The pics aren't great, trying to hold a camera and rifle without turning my head isn't easy. http://i.imgur.com/i4uFNvQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/BKt78dH.jpg http://i.imgur.com/fljhF39.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Originally Posted By Leemlh: Originally Posted By Click2Boom: Which mount is that for the red dot. I've used piggyback, but wanted to try the dot further forward, for various reasons I have the laze too, but its good to have a passive option. Cool setup, OG pst makes sense bc of weight. Do you think the arisaka is in "the perfect spot" for this, or would it be better if it were offset one direction or another more? (For passive nods use) @Leemlh |

Badassery! @thorn653 I just saw this... Thanks, brother. You have good taste. Ergonomics, form, and function are always top priority for me, but I also like to live on the rare and unique side. Not sure if I've seen any other LPIs here. I started a "Tactical Lever Action" Picture Thread where you can see how this and a few other builds came to be. This one was more for fun/why the fuck not, but it actually works surprisingly well. Official "Tactical Lever Action" Arena (Picture Thread) |

Playing with a piggyback mounted LAM. This is primarily for hunting and it was becoming annoying trying to adjust illuminator dispersion or switch modes with the LAM mounted on the end of the handguard. Probably will end up with a D2 on here at some point as it looks like it’ll give me better height clearance (and a rear mounted mode switch as opposed to top mounted) over the PVS-30 objective when compared to the PEQ.
